Fans of the Descendants game are sadly going to be disappointed that Disney have announced that the game has been retired for iOS, Android and Windows, and removed from the App Store, Google Play and Windows Store.
Disney have said “Although the decision was difficult to make, this will allow us to focus on building new and more engaging games.” However this is the usual response from Disney regarding closure of a game or app.
They added that while it may still be playable, there are no plans for future updates, and active product support for the iOS, Android, Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 version of the app will no longer be provided.
As per usual with these closures, Disney Interactive is not responsible for providing refunds or credits for any virtual items, in-game currency, or other items that may be no longer available once a game is shut down. Which should again remind players that in-game purchases aren’t guaranteed to be around forever.
